Use your mobile when you use Selecta. Technology at its best makes life easier and a bit more fun. At Selecta we embrace any and all technology that adds ease to vending for our consumers. That’s why we’re integrating mobile phone payment technology into more and more of our points-of-sale – vending machines to you - facilitating even more the shopping experience for busy consumers who don’t always have the correct change on them.

More than 500 Selecta machines in Switzerland and Austria are already equipped with mobile phone payment systems or technology.

There is a growing acceptance for this form of payment. You can use your mobile phone to buy a snack in the same way you would use it to buy movie tickets. The most modern way to pay on the go, it’s easy and incredibly fast (less than 30 seconds in general), making access to food and beverages instantaneous.

To give you a precise picture of how straightforward mobile phone payment is to use: consumers simply enter and send a code displayed on the Selecta vending machine from their mobile, select the product(s) desired from the machine and accept the total price displayed. That’s it. The charge is then added to the monthly phone bill.

Since the beginning of 2006, Selecta Austria has equipped over 350 Selecta points-of-sale with mobile phone payment. Payment can be easily accessed through any telecom provider.

Selecta Switzerland gives its consumers the opportunity to pay by mobile in over 120 machines in and around Zurich, principally in train stations and at the airport. An additional 50 machines fitted with mobile phone payment are scheduled to launch around Bern as well. Mobile payment will be accepted from Swisscom Mobile, M-Budget and Migros Mobile.
