NL, November 2008  | Following the success of the first event in 2007, the second Max Havelaar Fairtrade Week was held in the Netherlands 30.10 – 9.11.2008. This Fairtrade week strives to increase awareness and visibility of the fair products traded according to the Fairtrade terms. |
During the Fairtrade week the Max Havelaar Foundation and all the organisations involved are working together to buy, sell and promote fair products under the Fairtrade conditions. The purpose of the event is to make it simpler and easier for consumers, organisations and the authorities to choose fair products.
Selecta supports this initiative, having offered the finest coffee blends since many years under the Selecta label with the Max Havelaar quality mark. For every kilo of coffee with the Max Havelaar quality mark sold, Selecta will make a donation to the holiday home for children with life-threatening illnesses.
