CEO

Venkie Shantaram joined Selecta as Chief Executive Officer in October 2025. Venkie is an experienced international leader with a proven record of driving growth, operational excellence, and cultural transformation across the food and services industry. Before joining Selecta, he held senior leadership positions at Compass Group, where he was instrumental in shaping strategy, fostering innovation, and delivering sustainable performance across diverse markets.

Group General Counsel Alanna brings nearly two decades of global legal experience spanning private practice and senior in-house roles. Her deep legal expertise, combined with her strategic mindset and people-first approach, makes her uniquely equipped to lead Selecta’s legal function during this pivotal phase of transformation and growth. Alanna’s background advising on complex, high-value matters across industries positions her to drive legal excellence, strengthen governance, and empower smart, risk-aware decisions across the business.

Douglas Hogg
Group CFO

Douglas Hogg joins Selecta as Group Chief Financial Officer, bringing deep international finance leadership. He was most recently Finance Director for Apleona’s International business, supporting strong growth across 33 countries and €1 billion in revenue. Previously, Douglas was CFO at Ingenico, with responsibility across the UK, Ireland, Nordics and EMEA. A Chartered Accountant, he began his career at PwC.

Group Business Transformation Officer

Urs Oetterli takes on the newly created role of Group Business Transformation Officer, with responsibility for driving performance across sales, operations, technology and group strategy. A long-standing member of Selecta, Urs joined the business in 1999 and brings deep experience across finance, operations and sales. He has led major growth and efficiency programmes and continues to play a key role in shaping Selecta’s future-ready platform.

Joseph Palmer brings over 18 years of international HR leadership experience, driving people strategy and organisational transformation across rapidly growing businesses. Before joining Selecta, he served as Chief People Officer at Tunstall and previously held senior HR roles at Colt Data Centre Services and Cerner (now Oracle), where he supported global expansion, major integration programmes, and large-scale workforce development.
