Selecta introduces a range of convenient hygiene and safety solutions to help people feel safe when returning to work and while on-the-go

Consumers can now easily access face masks, hand sanitisers and more via Selecta machines

Switzerland, May 14, 2020: Selecta, Europe’s leading route-based unattended self-service provider, has launched a range of convenient hygiene and safety solutions for public and private vending as a response to the COVID-19 crisis, helping customers and consumers feel safe as lockdown measures begin to ease in Europe. From hygiene kits to sanitising dispensers and vending machines offering safety products, the company has introduced flexible solutions to cater to different needs.

As more people are commuting and returning to work, companies, airports and transport associations are seeking solutions to help their employees and travellers to stay safe. From hygiene products available in the vending machines, to ‘Safety Stations’, dedicated vending machines selling health and safety products, the new concepts can be quickly deployed and made available where they are most needed. This way people can conveniently get their masks and sanitising gels if they lose one or forget to take from home.

Selecta is also adding protective equipment, such as face masks, hand sanitisers and disinfectant wipes, in its smart vending machines in addition to snacks and drinks. Contactless payment options make it convenient and easy to make a purchase whilst minimising physical contact with the machine.

Good hygiene practice is an important part of preventing the spread of the coronavirus, and companies are looking for practical solutions to be able to clean coffee machine touch screens, surfaces, hot desks, break areas and meeting rooms between use. Selecta’s hygiene kits come with a set of ecological cleaning products that will be mixed with water and can be used for this purpose. Selecta is also offering hand sanitiser dispensers that can be placed in the areas of common use.

For those who are continuing to working remotely, Selecta has designed a special range of care packages that companies can order to show support for their remote workforce.

The new products and services have been available since early May, and have created a lot of interest among companies, consumers and general public. In addition to visible locations, such as Zurich Airport in Switzerland and Brussels train station in Belgium, Selecta has already equipped over 1,000 vending machines and safety stations with safety products in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland, and aims to increase its offer over the coming weeks and months. As an active partner to communities, public authorities, transportation companies and private business, Selecta is ready to quickly respond to any customer needs.

Thomas Nussbaumer, Managing Director Switzerland comments: “The health and safety of our employees, clients and the communities in which we operate is our utmost priority. As more people are returning to work and commuting, we have seen an increasing demand for these kind of safety solutions, both in public and private vending. We are proud to be able to respond quickly to these emerging needs, and the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Tim Goossens, Managing Director Belgium, adds: “As our economy is slowly restarting, it is important to us that we’re able to respond our customers’ changing needs, and these products and services enable us to do that. The Safety Station is a great example, allowing consumers to access necessary equipment 24/7 in an easy and safe way. We are delighted to be able to support our clients and partners this way during these challenging times.”
